unit 22/24 Assignment 2 - 3 Act Structure

Act 1

Opening scene: .

camera tracks up from bottom of bed up, to reveal 'Tom' sitting up in bded in a mid shot.

Bob, groans and in a dishelved state drags out of bed and stomps out of the room.  Camera remains in bedroom, hear bathroom door slam, sound of hacking gross cough, Bob urinating, toilet flush, bathroom door opens. Camera pans and we see bob cross the hall, and stomp down stairs.

Montage; close up of bowl; cereal poured in; messily; milk sloshed in; 

mid shot of bob at table, eating slowly, looking 'out of it'

all the way through it the soundtrack "A-punk by Vampire weekend" is playing.

Song cuts off.

He gets up and a over the shoulder shot shows him looking in the fridge and there's no food.

He calls for his mum and gets no reply.

montage all stuff not done, no food, ironing board out, hoover out, full bin, pots in sink etc.

plot point: 

Phone call; 

[Split screen]

his mate rings, they have realised their parents aren't around and they cant get hold of them.

Their reactions at first are kind of like "sweet!" with a slight bit of confusion of course.

They congregate and do unusual thing that would usually not be okay with parents.

Rising Action

there's a montage of Bob getting dressed. Then a final scene of the montage is the door shutting his door. After the montage the camera cuts to a wide mid shot of all the boys sat around in a living room. They are all silent for 3/4 seconds. Then one of the boys (undecided who) And he states that he is freaked out. 2 of the other boys agree. Then a cut to a mid close up of one of the lads with a look of shock on his face, he then says something along the lines of "we could take advantage of this situation" After this a Pan of the boys faces as they kind of look at eachother with a sly kind of luck

Action 1:
Mid close up of Tom saying "Lets rob off with your Mums car"
Cuts to Mike with a look on his face of doubt and lets the audience knows he disagrees.
A Scene then cuts to a close up of a hand picking up some car keys, That then cuts to the keys being clicked to open the door, then the car door being opened. Then cuts to a wide shot of the window shield and you can see all the boys sat in the car saying nothing. 

Close up of Mike asking the question "Now What?" 
Rufus states "im not sure if im honest with you..."
This is the first problem, They dont actually know how to drive. 
This leads to disappointment amongst the boys. They are realising that even without their parents that this might not even be a good thing to do. 

INT: Close up of Mike drinking tea in the living room. 
Camera: over mikes shoulder of Tom, 
T: "now what..."
M: "Well, there's other stuff we could do?"
Group Looks around at each other in curiosity

Scene cuts to

Action 2:
cuts to wide shot 

Ending: 
A Fade into the living room and theres a close mid shot of 'Rufus' saying something along the lines of it would be good but it would get boring etc and then just a final closing shot of them all agreeing.
