Seven- scene 17 to 52 mins
It was set in an apartment block.
This is important as it was in low key and used props such as lots of air fresheners as it generates connotations
of fear and confusion.
The main characters were dressed
in police uniform to give a sense of authority.
Their facial expressions were
of caution and apprehension.
The police people were looking at the door which creates tension, and
then when opened they were looking at the off
screen space. The camera zoomed in at the letter box which is the depth of focus. The lighting was low key, very dull and dark which creates more tension as you don’t
know what will appear or happen next.
A specific camera shot would be the
point of view when they knock down the flat door, this is interesting because
it shows what the first persons view is.
A specific camera angle is the low angle
looking up at the stairs at the beginning of the scene, this is interesting at
you can see the officers running up the steep stairs of the apartment.
A specific camera movement would be tracking when the camera moved
back when they opened the bedroom door, this shows their shock/suspicion.
The color wash is dark and
creates a dull feel. The police officers enter the frame at both sides.
